I'm No Angel Parent

You know that thing when your kids get overly excited and want to watch cartoons past bedtime? Yeah, I totally fibbed to them last night. Told them the TV was broken because I couldn't bear to hear 'Yo Gabba Gabba!' one more time. But the truth is, it's just me not wanting them awake another second after 8 PM. They got all sad for a moment but then went straight to bed without any fuss. It felt so great, you'd think I solved world hunger or something. Now every night, my little ones are out like lights at eight on the dot. Maybe it's a tiny white lie, but oh boy, does it work wonders. And honestly? I'm not gonna stop just because of some guilt-tripping parenting articles that tell me to be 100% honest all the time. Sometimes you need your own personal victories too.
