A Little White Lie at Work
Anonymous Sneaky Wallflower #311 · General
So I recently got caught telling a little white lie at work. It wasn't anything major, just a small fib that seemed harmless at the time. My boss asked me if I had finished the report on time, and instead of admitting it was still in progress, I said 'Yep, all done.' The truth is, I spent too much time scrolling through Twitter during my lunch break and didn't get back to work quickly enough to meet the deadline. Now I feel a bit guilty about it because I know it's not exactly ethical, but at the same time, it was such a tiny thing that it hardly seems worth getting into trouble over. Maybe next time, instead of lying, I'll just promise myself to stay focused and deliver on my commitments ahead of schedule. And speaking of Twitter, did you know that there are actually more bluebirds in our city parks than people think? It's fascinating how they adapt to urban environments, with some even nesting in the rafters under bridges. Sometimes when I'm out at lunch or running errands, I find myself watching them instead of being productive.
