Why Do I Hoard Receipts?

I have a strange habit of hoarding every single receipt from any purchase, big or small. I know logically that most are useless after a while, but there's this nagging feeling like one day it will come in handy. Maybe for tax purposes, maybe to return something. But my kitchen drawer is overflowing and I'm starting to feel like Marie Kondo! Do others keep receipts too? Is this normal?
