I Couldn't Resist the Boredom

So there I was, sitting in my history class at 8 AM on a Friday morning. It's one of those classes that you know you'll need for graduation but it's not exactly your cup of tea. Anyway, the professor started droning on about medieval warfare and the last thing I wanted to do was take notes or even pay attention. So I did what any bored college student would do: I pulled out my phone and sent a text under the table to my friend, pretending like nothing happened when she replied me back with a 'lol'. Little did I know that our professor had a keen eye for these sorts of things and caught us red-handed! He made both of us stand up in front of everyone and lecture about how phones are a distraction. We got off easy with just a stern warning, but it felt like he was staring holes into my head the rest of class. I couldn't help myself though - the boredom was unbearable. If I could do it again, sure I'd try to resist, but I doubt it.
