i totally went rogue on the price scanner

so i was at work scanning and this chick wanted a pack of gum for like 1 cent cause it had a deal but the register said full price. she got all mad. i felt bad but also kinda annoyed that ppl think they deserve things cheaper than what it actually costs. so instead of telling her to go talk to my manager, i decided to scan it for free and winked at her when i handed back her card. yeah sure maybe i broke company rules but honestly? if one pack of gum made someone's day a little better without costing them extra money, worth it.
