Life Is Like a Box of Chocolates, Except Worse Sometimes

So, you know how they say life is like a box of chocolates? Well, mine feels more like those boxes that have a bunch of different flavors mixed together, and every once in a while, you bite into one you really didn't want. Take last weekend for instance, planning this big backyard BBQ with friends, everything set to go, and then it rains buckets. So we all end up huddled inside, playing old board games and talking about our latest TV obsessions instead. Wasn't quite the summer day I had in mind but, hey, still fun! And today at work? Well, trying my best not to roll my eyes whenever my co-worker decides it's a good idea to bring up conspiracy theories during our lunch break. But man, can he ever talk. Sometimes feels like getting stuck with that flavor you don't really love when you bite into your chocolate bar. Yet somehow, here I am, still enjoying the ride, well, as much as one can enjoy being trapped in a box of mixed chocolates with an unpredictable rain cloud floating over it. So yeah, life's not always smooth sailing but there are definitely worse things than ending up with a few bitter flavors every now and then.
