I'm a Teacher Who Loves Pranks

Last week, I set up a little surprise in my classroom. I hid a fake spider among the books and watched as one of my students screamed and jumped into my arms! It was hilarious to see their reaction. But hey, how else do you get kids engaged in learning if not with a bit of fun? Am I totally off base here or is there room for pranks even in education?
