Keeping Score with Toddler Games

Anonymous Sly Grinner #766 · General

I keep a little notebook where I track wins and losses from games I play with my toddler. Like who won the latest round of peek-a-boo or whether he built a taller tower than me with blocks. It sounds ridiculous, but it's oddly satisfying when I win more times in a day. Am I just counting because it's fun to have a system for something so trivial? Or is this some kind of weird coping mechanism to feel like I'm doing better as a parent somehow? Anyone else secretly keeping score too?
