Oops, I Broke the Build Again

Hey there, so umm, yeah, this is embarrassing but it's been bugging me. Yesterday at work, I was trying to fix a bug in our main project file and uh, ended up accidentally deleting a whole section of code that no one else had touched for months. It wasn't even my part of the project, just something I saw as an easy fix... But man, it messed everything up! The build broke for like an hour before someone noticed what I did. Of course, everyone was pretty understanding since it's a mistake anyone could make and all that, but still. I feel so stupid for messing around in code I shouldn't have been touching. Now every time I see the project name pop up on my screen, I cringe a little. Maybe next time I'll think twice before diving into someone else’s work.
