Tired of Being Polite All the Time...

So I guess I've been holding it in for months now. You know how sometimes you just need to break the rules a little, and be honest about stuff? Well, lately I feel like all I do is clean up after everyone else and try to make sure everything runs smoothly at home... And while I love my kids and wouldn't change a thing, it's hard when people treat me like I don't have feelings or boundaries. Like that one time, my mom visited for a week straight with her never-ending list of things that need fixing around the house... I mean, she didn't even ask if I had time or wanted help! But then last night, after all of them were asleep and it was finally quiet, I found this awesome podcast about being a stay-at-home parent... It's all about embracing your own needs and speaking up more. So here's my confession: The other day, when they left for school and work early in the morning without even saying goodbye or leaving me anything to eat for breakfast (again!), instead of just shrugging it off like usual, I grabbed a slice of leftover pizza from last night... and put on some loud music while I cleaned. It felt so liberating! Am I crazy? Do other stay-at-home parents ever do this too, or is everyone else way more patient than me? What would you guys do if someone tried to treat you like that all the time? Let's talk!
