My Secret Slack Channel

I've been working on this project for months now. It's a huge deal at my company and everyone is under so much pressure to deliver something amazing that I just couldn't handle it anymore. So, a few weeks ago, I created a secret Slack channel just for myself where I could vent about all the stress without worrying about being seen as a complainer or getting in trouble. Every day after work, I'd pop into this channel and tell 'myself' all my concerns and fears. At first, it was great, I felt like I had someone to talk to who understood exactly what I was going through. But then things started to get weird. One night, feeling particularly overwhelmed, I accidentally used the wrong channel and sent out a public message meant for myself. I didn't think anyone would notice; after all, how many times do people see a message in Slack late at night? But the next day, my boss pulled me aside during our weekly meeting. She had seen what happened and wanted to know if everything was okay with me. I was so embarrassed, here I am trying to keep something secret and small only for it to blow up into this big deal. Now every time I log in to Slack, I'm paranoid that someone is going to ask me about my secret channel again. It's like a scar on the project timeline that everyone remembers but no one talks about. I know deep down that having a secret place to vent isn't all bad, it helped me keep going when things felt impossible, but now every time I think of it, I just feel so ashamed and disappointed in myself.
