Monday Blues

This week has been one endless loop of meetings and spreadsheets. I felt like screaming at my computer screen 'When will this drudgery end?'. So, in a fit of rebellion, I pretended to be sick just so I could watch all six seasons of The Office back-to-back on Netflix. It was glorious, but now guilt sets in as colleagues send concerned texts and the pile of work grows taller by the hour. But for those few days, freedom tasted sweet.
