I Faked Being Busy for Happy Hour

So, I kind of fibbed the other day at work. You know how we have our weekly happy hour thing? Well, this time around, my project was due early that week and I told everyone I had to stay late to finish it up. But honestly, I just didn't feel like going out with everyone again after last week's karaoke disaster where I sang terribly. It felt so small at the time, but now thinking back on it, I feel a bit guilty about misleading them all. What if they thought I was serious and they should've called me to help? Maybe next time, I'll just be honest about not wanting to go.
