My Blunder at Work

I’ve been at my job for nearly two decades now, but I recently did something so boneheaded that it’s hard to believe even in hindsight. Last week, during a crucial meeting with our top client, I accidentally sent an email meant for the IT department requesting a password reset to the entire company's distribution list instead. The email was promptly forwarded to social media platforms by some overzealous colleagues, and now everyone thinks I’m clueless. To make matters worse, my boss had to spend hours cleaning up after me and explaining the mistake. It’s embarrassing enough that it made national headlines in our industry chat groups. On the bright side, maybe I can finally admit to myself that it’s time to consider retirement or at least a less stressful position.
