My Art Supplies Are Not for Sale

So I've got this one art supply that's been sitting in my studio for ages now. You know how it is, sometimes you buy something and then it just sits there, mocking your lack of inspiration or whatever. Well, the other day a friend was working on a project and asked if they could borrow it. But here’s the thing: I don’t really want to give up my precious supply because, let's face it, it might come in handy for me someday. So instead, I said something like, 'Oh, that’s so rare, you can't get it anywhere.' It wasn't exactly a lie, but it was definitely a stretch. Now every time I look at the thing, I feel just a little bit guilty.
