Forgot My Mom Said No Snacks Before Dinner ...

So today I was sitting at the kitchen table doing my homework when I smelled something super yummy coming from the pantry. It's that time of day when you just start feeling hungry and everything looks so good... Anyway, it was like a whisper in my head saying 'Go ahead, grab one.' And then I saw the cookies... You know how mom says no snacking before dinner? Well... She wasn't around right then to tell me off, and I figured if I only had one really small cookie nobody would notice. But here's the thing - I ended up eating four. Four whole cookies! ...I guess I was too hungry or maybe it's just a bad habit of mine to sneak snacks when my mom isn't looking. Now dinner tastes kinda dry after all that sugar, and if anyone notices those missing cookies... Well, I'm going to have some serious explaining to do. And here I thought it'd be easy to get away with it. D'oh! ...
