Got Fired For Not Caring Enough

I got fired from my job as a nurse for not showing enough care and compassion. I know it sounds bad, but honestly, the way some patients treated us was beyond disrespectful. They’d scream at me over a dropped spoon or accuse me of poisoning their coffee because they spilled it on themselves. One day, after an especially grueling shift where every single patient yelled at me for something trivial, I snapped and shouted right back. 'If you think spilling coffee is the end of the world,' I said to this one particularly difficult patient, 'then maybe you should stay in bed and starve.' It got me fired, but honestly, it was worth it to let that frustration out.
