Forgot My Homework Again...

Today I told Ms. Carter that my cat ate my homework when really I just forgot it at home again. It's the third time this month and each time, I make up a more creative excuse instead of owning up to being forgetful. I mean, does it matter? It's just one assignment... but then she asked me if my cat eats all my work because her eyes were wide with disbelief. Now everyone is looking at me like I'm some kind of liar or something...
