I'm Secretly Proud of My Messy Room

Hey guys, I’ve been keeping a little secret from my family for years now. You know how everyone always says 'clean your room' and stuff? Well, here’s the deal: I secretly love having a messy room. Every time someone comes over or we have a big cleaning day in our house, I start panicking because I know I’ll get yelled at again for not keeping things tidy. But then they leave, and it’s just me with all my stuff, and I feel kind of happy about how cozy and lived-in everything looks. It’s like having my own little fortress of memories scattered around everywhere. The funny thing is, sometimes when we have a family gathering in the living room, I look over at everyone sitting neatly on the couch while I’m surrounded by books and papers from head to toe, and it feels like I’m the only one actually relaxed. Of course, deep down, I know I should probably try to clean up more often, but for now, my room is my castle of chaos.
