I Took the Last Cookie

So, here’s this thing I did last week. Mom came home with a big jar of chocolate chip cookies and left them on the kitchen counter for later snacking. As an after-dinner treat, she said it was okay to take one or two. But then I just kinda... went in there when no one else was around and ate like four of them in secret! It wasn’t even midnight yet, but I’m feeling super guilty about sneaking them. Oh well, at least they were gone before anyone saw me with cookie crumbs on my face.
