I May Be an Asshole for Skipping Tutor Duty but Eh

So, I’m this guy who’s pretty big in our college programming club. Everyone knows me because I’m always there at the meetings and coding marathons. Last week, though, they asked me to do a tutoring session with a new member who was struggling. Yeah, no thank you, man. I already got my own projects and exams to handle. So instead of doing that, I went out with friends, knowing damn well it’s probably going to hurt this poor guy’s progress. But honestly? Tutoring ain’t exactly fun, you know? Plus, I have better things to do than be a mentor. If the new member has problems, they’ll figure it out on their own or find someone else to help them. Maybe I’m being a bit of an asshole here but, hell, who doesn’t skip responsibilities for fun once in a while? Now, back to finishing my latest project and getting some much-needed rest.
