Caught My Kid Red-Handed

So yesterday morning, I walked into my kid's room and saw him hiding a big bag of jelly beans under his pillow. The whole time he was stuffing them there last night, I could hear him giggling from the living room where we were watching TV. He knew it wasn't allowed to have candy before dinner, but you know how kids are. Anyway, when I caught him, I just laughed because he looked so guilty and embarrassed. Now I feel bad though, I ended up letting him keep them all as a sort of peace offering for my sneaky little detective skills. Who knew parenting involved solving candy mysteries?!
