I Totally Fibbed About Reading Half-Bad Books

So I was sitting in English class the other day, and Ms. Thompson asked us all to share what we've been reading lately. This book on my desk? It's called 'The Chronicles of Boringville: The Awful Quest for Mediocre.' But there’s no way I’m admitting that in front of everyone... So I told her it was a classic from our syllabus, which is totally not true, but who doesn't like a little exaggeration every now and then? And you know what? It actually felt good to spin a little fib. It made me feel so cool... But yeah, whenever someone asks, I just nod my head like, 'Oh sure, I’m totally on chapter eight...' and hope they don’t ask for more details. Maybe next time I'll pick something less... obvious? Or maybe not, because this feels way too good to stop...
