New Kid on the Block Wonders if This is Normal

Hey everyone, just moved to a new city a few weeks ago and I have to say it's pretty wild. First off, getting lost in my own neighborhood three times now, who does that? But hey, at least I can call my apartment 'the fortress of solitude' since no one knows me here yet. Had to get creative with my introductions: I tell people about my imaginary friend (who is actually just the stuffed bear from college) to break the ice. Today, went grocery shopping and accidentally put a pack of tampons in the trolley instead of the bottle of water I was looking for - now that's some level up new city living! Oh yeah, did I mention my cat thinks she owns me? She just sits there, looks at me like I'm her servant, while all I want is for us to bond over the mystery novel on our coffee table. I've started calling her 'Queen Meow' out loud because why not? So here's what I ask you guys: Is it normal for things to feel this chaotic or am I just extra? Also, how do you make friends in a new place without having an awkward conversation every time? Let me know what works!
