i might be the asshole here

so there's this mom at my kid's school and we're both stay-at-home parents. i've kind of built up a reputation in our little community as being really organized, always volunteering for everything, leading playgroups and stuff like that. but honestly, it's mostly because no one else wants to do it or has the time. i know everyone thinks i'm so helpful and selfless but really, i just hate having free time with nothing productive done. i feel better about myself if there's a schedule packed full of activities and responsibilities. but this other mom is new, and she moved in last month with her son who's the same age as mine. at first, everyone thought oh cool we got a fresh face in our group but then it turned out that this lady, let's call her lisa, doesn't want to join any of my groups or activities. i don't think she even wants to volunteer for anything and she seems pretty relaxed about it all. this started making me feel really uneasy and annoyed because now everyone thinks i'm the only one who cares about our community but honestly, a lot of times i do it more for myself than anyone else. so when lisa had her son's birthday party last week without inviting us to any of it, i got super mad and wrote this long post on the school newsletter basically saying how sad it is that there are moms like her who don't care about building a community. i thought everyone would agree with me but instead, i saw some comments from other parents saying they feel left out or like lisa isn't getting enough support because we're too busy planning and organizing things all the time. now i'm wondering if maybe i was wrong to be so harsh on her and actually kind of ruined a chance for us to get along. but at this point, it's hard to go back and apologize without seeming like i changed my mind.
