I Lied About Getting My Coffee

Tonight at work, there was a huge spill in the kitchen sink... and I had my hands full of coffee orders when I walked by. Instead of cleaning up like any responsible bartender would, I just turned off the water instead. Thought no one saw me but the maintenance guy came around five minutes later to investigate... yeah, it was pretty obvious something happened. I know this wasn’t cool and I don't want to do it again if I can help it. Just trying to understand why sometimes we choose convenience over responsibility.
