I'm Addicted to Midnight Snacks and My Co-Workers Think I’m Crazy

Hey everyone! So, I work nights at a warehouse. You know how it gets super quiet around 2 AM? Yeah, that’s when the munchies hit me like crazy. I can be loading boxes or driving our forklift, and suddenly my mind is just buzzing with thoughts of pizza rolls and chips. It started about three months ago. We got some new snacks in the break room, think Doritos and Cheetos, and something about them called to me. It's like they knew I was there at 2 AM looking for comfort food, you know? So, I’d make these little trips every night to grab just one or two snacks. But then, it got more frequent. Now it’s almost a daily thing. By midnight, my coworkers are pretty much used to seeing me pop out of the break room with a crinkly bag and that guilty smile on my face. I don’t know what they think when they hear me sneaking into the kitchen at 2 AM for yet another snack run. One night, our new guy asked me why I was eating so much junk late at night. He said something about how he thought it might be bad for my health and if I wanted to eat better snacks or bring in some fruit instead. I tried to laugh it off, but now every time he sees me with a bag of chips, there’s this look on his face that says, “Are you sure about all these late-night snack runs?” I’m not sure what to do about it anymore. Part of me feels bad for making everyone else question their own nighttime snacking habits too, I mean, I know we shouldn’t be eating a lot at night because of the whole health thing. But here’s the kicker: The snacks make the long hours feel bearable and give me something to look forward to when things get tough. So yeah, even though I know it's not great for me or that my coworkers might think I'm weird, those midnight munchies keep coming. I just hope no one ever catches me with an entire pizza box, that would be the ultimate embarrassment.
