Tired of Compliments on My Patience

I know everyone thinks I'm patient because I stay calm with my kids, but honestly? It's more about survival than virtue. Yesterday at the park, a stranger complimented me on how well-behaved my twins were while they were throwing sand everywhere and crying over shared toys. All I could think was, 'Please just go away and let me drink this coffee in peace.' Afterward, when we got home and it was quiet for once, I yelled at the wall for ten minutes because I suddenly realized how much coffee I'd been missing out on all these years.
