Telling Small Lies to Keep Things Moving

As a barista, I've picked up the art of small lies. It's not out of malice; it's more about keeping the peace and moving things along smoothly. For example, when someone asks if we have almond milk but we're down to the last few drops, I say, 'We do! Let me check right now,' and dash into the back to grab some soy milk instead. Sure, it's a little fib, but in my defense, I am helping people get their caffeine fix faster without causing unnecessary panic over missing ingredients.
