I'm Obsessed With Calligraphy Now

Hi everyone, I just started learning calligraphy last week. It’s super fun but also kind of embarrassing how much time I spend on it! Like, when people ask me what I did over the weekend, I want to say 'oh you know, just perfecting my capital letters' but it sounds way too weird, right? So instead I pretend it was a boring old TV show. Do any of you have any hidden artistic hobbies or tips for beginners like me?
