The Midnight Shift Prank

So here's something I did last night that was pretty cheeky, but I couldn't help myself. You see, there’s this guy at work, let's call him Steve, who thinks he owns the place because he's been there for decades and knows everyone by name. Well, as a night-shift worker, I have plenty of time to entertain myself, especially when things get slow. Last night was one of those nights. So around 2 AM, when Steve started making his rounds on the quiet floor, I slipped a post-it note under the door of each room with a funny caption like 'Sleep tight and dream of unicorns!' or 'Don't worry about the world; it'll be here in the morning.' And right at the end, just for good measure, I left one for Steve himself saying something cheeky like 'Steve, your mom called, she wants her pillow back.' It wasn’t mean-spirited or anything too personal. Just a little fun to liven up an otherwise dull shift. It made my night and probably gave some folks a chuckle in the morning. Plus, it felt good to ruffle Steve’s feathers a bit. He can be such a buzzkill with his constant rules and complaints. So yeah, I may have broken a few unwritten workplace etiquette codes, but who says you need sleep for creativity? If anything, this prank made my night much more bearable.
