So Much For Customer Service Training
Anonymous Sassy Flirt #237 · General
Hey there everyone, it’s your friendly neighborhood retail worker here. You know those customer service training sessions? Yeah, the ones where you pretend to care about every single person who walks through the door and treats them like they’re the only customer in existence? I’ve done my fair share of them. But today was a real challenge. An elderly gentleman came in looking for something specific, and let me tell you, he had an opinion on pretty much everything I suggested. He went from politely requesting to downright demanding, and it felt more like a marathon than a quick service transaction. By the time he finally left with his item (which was actually one of our bestsellers that we had in stock all along), I was ready to put a sticker on my apron that said “Ask Me Anything But Please Don’t Try To Teach Me My Job.” So, here’s my question: is it normal for me to want to hide behind the break room door whenever someone walks in looking like they’re going to interrogate everything I say? Or am I just being overly dramatic?
