I Lied About My Lunch Break At Work

Hey there! So today at work, I had this little thing called a lunch break. But here's the funny part, I decided to take my 'lunch' right when it hit 12 PM sharp instead of waiting until my scheduled break time of 12:30 PM. Why? Because why not? It’s like, do you really want that chocolate cake at home staring back at you all day long? Nope! So there I was, shoving the last of my sandwich into my mouth just as my coworker Mike walked in for his lunch too. Now, when we clocked out later, I casually mentioned that my 'lunch' break started exactly at 12 PM. I didn’t need to add any detail like how I had a half an hour snack beforehand because that would’ve been cheating or something ridiculous like that. But you know what? This little trick has totally worked for me multiple times now, and honestly, I'm not sorry about it. So yeah, I feel a tiny bit guilty about getting caught between the rules and reality, but hey, if nobody finds out and it makes my day easier, then it’s a win-win. Plus, who doesn’t love an extra 30 minutes of peace or productivity? Now back to work for that afternoon rush!
