Found Grandson's Diaries

Well, I was going through some old boxes in the attic today trying to find my wedding photos, and you know how it is when you start digging into stuff that’s been there for ages, before I knew it, I had a pile of things sorted out and my hands on this little notebook. It turned out to be one of my grandson's diaries from high school! Can you believe it? I started reading through it, all these entries about his friends and his first job at the ice cream shop. There was even one where he talks about a crush, oh, how innocent those feelings seem now compared to what teenagers deal with today! But let me tell you, holding that little book in my hands brought back so many memories of when I was young too. It made me feel both proud and nostalgic at the same time. Of course, I know I shouldn’t really be snooping, but sometimes old habits die hard. And who knows? Maybe one day he’ll find these boxes too and think about me in the way I’m thinking about him right now.
