An Unexpected Mix-Up

So last week at work, I had this guy come in who was all grumpy and wanted his drink pronto. I mixed him a Manhattan because that’s usually what he likes, but as soon as I handed it to him, he goes off about how the bartender got his order wrong last time and gave him an Old Fashioned instead of his usual Manhattan. Now, here's where things get tricky. I had two glasses set up side by side on my bar, one with a Manhattan in it and another with an unfinished drink from a previous customer who came back to finish their whiskey neat. To be honest, the way he was ranting about last time made me think, 'Is there some cosmic justice here?' But then I realized, ‘Oh wait, that’s just me being petty.’ In any case, I ended up getting him an Old Fashioned after all, trying to keep the peace, but it felt like a weird karma backfire. And you know what? He was still grumpy about it.
