I Broke My Sister's Favorite Lamp On Purpose, But I Don't Care

So last week, my sister got this fancy new lamp. She’s always had a thing for old-school lamps with intricate designs and soft glow colors, which is fine by me because it means she never takes them out of the living room. Anyway, I was over at her place and couldn’t help but notice how much she kept gushing about this new one, 'It lights up my life,' she said, rolling her eyes dramatically while twirling around like a dork. I mean, I love my sister, really! But sometimes, her enthusiasm is just too much. Anyway, when we were supposed to be cleaning up after dinner and talking about the movie we watched, all she could talk about was how cool this new lamp looked in different lighting conditions, 'It's like a little piece of art!' Okay, enough already! So yeah, while I was pretending to help her clean up, I kind of just snapped. I snuck into her room and carefully positioned myself next to that stupid lamp, then took a big step back so I could punt it as hard as possible right toward the window behind my sister’s bed. The thud when it hit the wall wasn’t subtle, and even though she didn’t know exactly who had done it at first, it was pretty clear that someone was trying to get her attention. Now, here's where things got tricky, while everyone else was worrying about calling in a repairman or replacing it right away, my sister just stared at me with this weird look on her face. Eventually, she said something like, 'Oh...okay,' and then went back into the kitchen to finish cleaning up as if nothing happened. So yeah, did I do something wrong? Maybe, but honestly? It felt pretty good to finally make a statement in my own house without having to listen to all that talk about lamps.
