i am so lost here

ok i start at this new job and it’s like trying to learn a whole new language. the boss is super nice but she talks way too fast. i mean really fast, like 100 miles an hour fast, and then when i try to ask her something back she gets all impatient and starts talking even faster. also, everyone seems to know these crazy abbreviations and acronyms that no one bothered to tell me about or write down somewhere. like, what is cmr? ccr? lbi? i don’t even wanna ask because it’s probably something embarrassing like a nickname for an office crush or something. on the plus side, i did make friends with someone named jessica who sits next to me. she’s pretty cool, but every time we chat during breaks, people walk by and just give us these weird looks like they’re judging our conversation skills or something. i don’t get it! we’re not gossiping or anything, just talking about the weather and stuff. anyway, i think i’ll be okay once i figure out this mysterious lingo thing but right now i feel like a complete idiot and am just nodding my head while everyone is going on about ccrs and cmrs. hopefully they don’t realize how clueless i really am.
