I Spilled My Heart Out on Facebook Yesterday

So yesterday, after a particularly grueling day of lectures and endless Zoom meetings, I decided to vent my frustrations on Facebook. I started typing away about how overwhelming it all felt, missing home, struggling with the coursework, feeling isolated despite being surrounded by people. Before I knew it, there was this lengthy confession pouring out about every little thing that's been bothering me lately. It wasn't just complaints though; I also confessed my struggles with feeling like everyone around me is more confident and put together than I am. The moment my post went live, I immediately regretted it. Within minutes, dozens of notifications popped up, comments from friends offering advice or sympathy, others asking if everything was okay. My phone buzzed for hours as the support kept rolling in, but deep down, I felt like a complete mess for sharing all that stuff publicly instead of talking to someone privately about my feelings. It's just been such a whirlwind adjusting to college life, and here I am wondering if maybe oversharing is not the best way to handle it.
