New City Blues

I moved to a new city recently and it feels like everyone is already best friends. I've joined a few local groups on social media to meet people but instead of finding companions, all I see are posts about the amazing dinners they had together last night or their weekend adventures. It's strange because when I tried making these connections in high school and college, it felt easier. Maybe I'm just looking at it wrong now. I think I'll stick with my cat for company until I figure this out.
