A Little White Lie About My Workload

I'm in my final semester of grad school, and the workload feels overwhelming at times. Last week, I told a friend that I was going to take a break from studying for the weekend because it was too much. The truth is, I spent most of those days hiding under my blankets catching up on TV shows instead. It's a small lie, but it irks me knowing that everyone thinks I'm taking charge when really, I just needed a mental escape from reality.
