New Neighbor Lie

I just moved to this new city and was trying so hard to make friends. I met our next-door neighbor yesterday while out walking the dog and introduced myself. But here’s my little secret, our yard is pretty overgrown right now, so when she asked if we’ve been living here long, I fibbed about just moving in a couple of weeks ago instead of a month. I’m already feeling guilty about it because I know it might come up again soon and I have no idea how to bring it up as an old story without sounding weird. Maybe next time we meet I’ll just casually mention the yard work going on, but that feels like drawing attention to my fib more than anything.
