I Gave Away My New Lunchbox By Mistake...

So I got this amazing new lunchbox for school last week. It was the one with all the superhero characters on it that I really wanted, and my mom surprised me by getting it from that big store downtown where they always have cool stuff. Well, when I opened it up, everyone in class looked so jealous! They were like, 'Wow, how did you get this?' But here's the thing... When I was leaving after school to go home, I accidentally put my friend Jake's lunchbox on the bus instead of mine! I mean, his is just an old plain one with no designs or anything, but it had his name on the side, so it wasn't like I could pretend it was mine. And then when I got home and told my mom what happened... She said I needed to tell Jake as soon as possible about the mix-up. But I'm scared he might be mad that I took his by accident or something.... So now I've been carrying this white lie around for days, just using Jake's plain lunchbox because it looks like mine. And every time someone asks me why my 'new' lunchbox doesn't have any cool stuff on it anymore, I just say I lost it in the bus... But what if Jake finds out and tells everyone he has a new one too? Then I might get into trouble for taking his without asking or something.... It's been driving me crazy thinking about it all day long. I keep hoping someone will forget to ask about my lunchbox again so I don't have to confess and lose the cool superhero one forever...
