i told a fib at work today

so there was this time i came into work and the coffee machine was totally out of order. it's so annoying when that happens, right? like, you're trying to make those perfect cups but you can't even start without some hot water. so i thought, what if nobody else noticed? and i said to my coworker mike, 'oh, don't worry about the coffee machine, we got this covered.' turns out, john was coming in next and he brought a thermos with him just in case. now everyone knows there's an issue, but no one trusts me when i say everything is fine. i guess i need to own up to my lie at some point.
