A Little White Lie at Work

I'm usually pretty straightforward at work, but last week I told my boss that I worked late on a project just because I saw him working an hour overtime and felt bad about leaving. The thing is, the 'late hours' were actually spent binge-watching Star Wars documentaries in my apartment instead of coding like I should have been doing. It's such a small fib, but it feels really heavy on my conscience. Sometimes I wish I could just be honest, even if it means admitting that I’m not perfect.
