Parenting and Its Joys

So here's a little something that's been driving me bonkers. My kid is absolutely obsessed with dinosaurs, like, to the point where they'd rather watch documentaries about T-Rexes than play outside in the sun. I'm all for education, don't get me wrong. But it feels like my house has turned into a museum of fossils and dino bones, and I keep tripping over them. Yesterday, we went to the park, and instead of enjoying the swings or running around, he was trying to figure out which playground equipment looked most like dinosaur skeletons. It's all fine in small doses, but this level of dedication is starting to wear me down a bit. Am I being too hard on him? Or should I just embrace the T-Rex craze and go full-on Jurassic Park in our backyard? What do other parents think, am I alone here?
