I Pranked My Grandkids' New Pet Goat with Old Shoes and a Radio

Anonymous Impish Gossip #911 · General

So I'll start from last week when my grandkids came over to visit. You know how they are, full of energy, always looking for new adventures. And this time, they brought their latest pet: a young goat named Billy. Now, Billy's great; he's curious but harmless, just like all the kids who come through our door. But here's where things get interesting. You see, my grandkids left some old shoes and an old radio in the backyard when we had that big family barbecue last weekend. The shoes are my wife's from decades ago, comfy, worn out, with holes everywhere. And that radio? It still works wonders for playing 90s country tunes. So naturally, I thought it'd be fun to leave those items in Billy's pen when the grandkids weren't looking. I figured he'd investigate and maybe even try to step into one of the shoes. Well, as you can imagine, my plan didn't exactly go according to expectations. Instead of being curious about the radio or the shoes, Billy decided to knock over the radio with his head and then started munching on the leather straps of the shoes like they were made of hay. When my grandkids came home that evening, you should have seen their faces. They thought I'd had a sudden burst of creativity in the garden! But of course, as soon as Billy saw them approaching, he ran off to hide behind some bushes with shoe straps hanging out of his mouth like spaghetti noodles. I didn't get in trouble, I mean, it was harmless fun and the radio just needed new batteries. And let's be honest, how often do you see a goat eating shoes? But I couldn't help but chuckle at their shocked expressions. Maybe next time they'll keep an eye on what they leave behind. So that’s my confession: I pranked the goat for fun with old stuff from around the house. It wasn't exactly planned out, and it probably shouldn't have been done without thinking twice about it, but hey, it was a moment of unexpected hilarity in our otherwise mundane lives.
