My Boss Deserves This Lie

So here's this thing I did at work that might sound small but it was hilarious in the moment. My boss is super strict about the exact hour we clock in and out, like if you're even a minute late she gets on your case. One day, my alarm didn't go off because my cat knocked it over while I was sleeping. But instead of just being late, which would have been fine by me, I had this brilliant idea: I logged into the system from home and clocked in like 30 minutes early, making it look like I sat at my desk before coming in. The next day when she mentioned something about punctuality, I acted all confused because 'of course' I was there on time. Haha, she'll never know! I feel a little guilty knowing that I'm essentially playing a prank on her, but hey, we've got to keep our sanity somehow.
