I Sabotaged My Sis's Date Night

So I did something pretty petty last night. My little sister had been talking about her new date for weeks, hyping it up like he was the perfect guy and they were going to have some magical evening. But here’s the thing: I know she hasn’t actually made any real effort in a relationship since our parents split. So yeah, last night when she left for their fancy dinner at that new restaurant downtown, I sent her a text saying my friend's car had broken down and they needed help. She came back home, and needless to say, he didn't wait around for long before bailing too. My sis was super upset, but honestly? I just wanted to set her up with reality instead of fairy tales about love. And yeah, maybe it wasn’t the most mature thing to do, but if she’s gonna complain about my meddling after blowing off her own responsibilities like that, then I guess we’re even.
