I Gave My Boss A Code Name

Ever since I started this job a year ago, my boss, let's call her The Enforcer, has always had these annoying little quirks that bug me. Like how she can't stand when people eat at their desks or if there’s a piece of paper on the floor and expects everyone to have eyes in the back of their head to spot it. One day, I couldn’t take it anymore... so I started referring to her as “The Enforcer” whenever talking about workplace incidents with my colleagues. It sounds petty, I know, but sometimes you just need an outlet for frustrations that feel too big to talk about openly. Plus, it made conversations way more entertaining and gave me a laugh during the duller moments of my day... which isn’t saying much because most days here are pretty monotonous. So yeah, while it might be unprofessional in theory, I think everyone gets it, everyone has had to deal with an overbearing boss at some point. No one seems bothered by me using this nickname and honestly, who wouldn't want a bit of levity amidst all the drudgery?
