The Great Toy War of 2023
Anonymous Sly Fox #405 · General
I never imagined I’d be writing this as a proud victory tale, but here goes nothing. My three-year-old twins have been at each other’s throats over their shared room stuffed with toys for months now, like it’s an endless war zone. One day, in a moment of sheer desperation and what could only be called parental brilliance, I decided to do something drastic, I took away all the ‘fighting’ toys. You know, the ones that always end up as battle weapons. But here’s where things got interesting: instead of crying or fighting over nothing like I expected, they just looked at me with these blank stares and then went about their day playing peacefully. It was glorious! They played together like it was never an issue before. Now, whenever there's a toy conflict, all I have to do is look at them sternly and say ‘No more fighting toys’, problem solved. Little did I realize, taking away the most contentious items would be my secret weapon in maintaining peace in our little home kingdom.
